Question 1

What is a ripstop windbreaker polo?

Accepted Answer

A ripstop windbreaker polo is a short-sleeve performance shirt made from ripstop fabric — a tightly woven synthetic material with a reinforced grid pattern that prevents tears from spreading. The Breaker Polo combines the silhouette of a polo with the wind and shower resistance of a technical jacket, giving golfers protection from gusts on the course without restricting their swing.

Question 2

Is The Breaker Polo waterproof?

Accepted Answer

The Breaker Polo is water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The ripstop shell sheds light rain, mist, and morning dew, but it isn't designed for steady or heavy rain. For wet rounds where rain is forecast, layer it under a dedicated golf rain jacket or pack a waterproof shell in your bag as a backup.

Question 3

Is The Breaker Polo windproof?

Accepted Answer

Yes — The Breaker Polo is built to block wind. The tightly woven ripstop fabric significantly reduces wind chill on cool, blustery rounds, helping you maintain a steady core temperature without bulking up your swing. It's ideal for breezy spring and autumn days, early morning tee times, and coastal courses where the wind picks up unexpectedly.

Question 4

Does The Breaker Polo restrict your golf swing?

Accepted Answer

No. The Breaker is cut with a relaxed, oversized fit specifically to protect your range of motion through the swing. The short-sleeve construction eliminates the bunching that long-sleeve windbreakers can cause at the elbow and shoulder, making it ideal for players who want wind protection without the swing-restricting feel of a traditional jacket.

Question 5

How should I size The Breaker Polo?

Accepted Answer

The Breaker Polo is designed with a relaxed, oversized fit — true to size for that intentional silhouette. If you usually wear a Medium in our other Golf Gods polos, order a Medium. If you prefer a more fitted look, size down. If you want it even more oversized for a streetwear-inspired layer off the course, size up.

Question 6

Can I wear The Breaker Polo off the course?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The Breaker is designed to blur the line between course and casual. The relaxed silhouette and minimalist branding mean it pairs just as naturally with chinos, denim, or shorts as it does with golf trousers. Wear it to the clubhouse, a dinner after the round, or anywhere a refined technical layer works.

Question 7

What's the difference between a ripstop windbreaker and a regular polo?

Accepted Answer

A regular polo is typically knit cotton or polyester pique designed for breathability and comfort. A ripstop windbreaker polo uses a tightly woven synthetic shell that blocks wind and sheds light water, with a tear-resistant grid construction. The Breaker delivers technical weather protection in a polo silhouette — a hybrid that traditional polos and full jackets can't offer.

Question 8

How do I wash The Breaker Polo?

Accepted Answer

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours, then hang to dry. Avoid the tumble dryer, fabric softener, and ironing — high heat and softeners can degrade the water-resistant finish on technical fabrics. Following these steps preserves the ripstop performance and the metallic chest logo, keeping the polo looking and performing like new.

Question 9

Does The Breaker Polo come in other colours?

Accepted Answer

Yes — The Breaker Polo is available in Black and Tan. Black is the most versatile option, pairing with cream, grey, navy, and olive bottoms for a sharp, classic look. Tan brings warmer, editorial polish and works especially well with cream, white, and navy. Both colourways are designed to layer cleanly with the rest of your Golf Gods kit.

Question 10

Is The Breaker Polo packable for my golf bag?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The lightweight ripstop construction folds down compactly, making it easy to stash in your golf bag at the start of the round and pull out when the wind picks up on the back nine. Unlike heavier insulated jackets, The Breaker won't take up half your bag — it's built to be carried and worn as conditions change.
