Former world number 1 Lee Westwood started his first round at the 116th U.S. Open Championship with a hole out eagle, with his approach shot into the 14th green.
Currently with play stopped for the third rain delay of the day, Westwood is T4 at -1 and is thru 13 holes. His round has included 1 eagle, 2 birdies and 3 bogeys in what has been a very tough opening day at the Oakmont course.
