Hybrid vs 4 iron

The hybrid club has now been around for nearly 20 years and really has helped the golfer with a slower club head speed. Typically the weight is further back and you get a much higher ball flight even with the same loft. The 4 iron with the same amount of loft is much different and requires a greater club head speed. Club head speed is crucial to hit a long iron successfully.
