Big hitting American Tony Finau might not have had the best first round in the 166th U.S. Open Championship shooting and 72 and his second round didn't get much better. Having 3 consecutive bogeys in the first 5 holes on Friday, leaving in T73 at +5 after 5 holes.
On the second hole par 4, his second shot was a 100+ yard wedge shot that landed right on the back of the green. With the enormous spin he generated in the shot and the super slick Oakmont greens the ball spun from the back edge and the way past the pin and off the front edge of the green. This pretty much summed up how things were going for him.
